Net revenues brings us this weeks Marketplace Money buzzword: Internet tax.

Between spam and pop-ups, there’s a lot to gripe about the Internet. But at least you’re not paying taxes for it — yet.

Thanks to a federal ban, net access is tax-free. But the ban ends November 1st — leading many to wonder if the World Wide Web will become the World Wide Nickel-And-Dimed, ’cause some politicians think the net’s an unexplored universe of revenue.

Congress hasn’t decided the future of Internet tax. Maybe you should prepare yourself for a computer greeting besides, “You’ve got mail.” Like maybe: “Cha-ching!”

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.
