Dick Fuld, the former CEO of now-defunct investment bank Lehman Brothers, is back in the news. For a while there, it was his wife Kathy making the headlines, with all that crazy shopping she was doing. But thanks to New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg, it’s all about tricky Dick again. New York City says Lehman owed it $627 million in taxes, and it’s doing all it can to muscle to the front of the line of bankruptcy creditors in the Lehman case.
Amy Scott is reporting for Marketplace today on how it is that NYC could let Lehman get so far in arrears on its taxes….and whether there are any other big banks that are in arrears right now. (Here’s what I want to know – will they be sending the inspectors down to 85 Broad? Somehow I think not.)
Anyway, with Fuld’s name comes his photo, and the blogs and the papers have dug up some of the best of tricky Dick’s pix. Here he is looking irritated. Villainous. And pained.
Any other Fuld faves? We’d love to see them.
