For Marketplace July 9, 2010
On today’s show, we hear the 1980s hit “Between Something and Nothing” – the first single from the band The Ocean Blue – coming out of our weekly wrap on the markets. The Pet Shop Boys song “Suburbia” seemed a fitting choice for Tess’s interview about the new museum of suburban history. Portland based Quasi rocks out with “I Never Want to See You Again.” Detroit’s The Von Bondies track “Modern Saints” starts us off. And psych band Citay is out with a new album. Check out their song “Dream Get Together” in the show. Lots of oohs, ahhs and guitar riffs – perfect for summer.
