For Marketplace Morning Report, Wednesday, September 15, 2010
On today’s show, we looked at brand attachment. Is there a brand you love? Like, really love. Let us know. We also looked at a new study that says American workers are more than $6 trillion short of what they need to retire. Yikes. We had a story on the economic costs of obesity beyond just medical care, and a report on a World Trade Organization ruling involving illegal subsidies and a big airplane maker. There was also some big currency news involving Asia: Congress is holding hearings focusing on whether China is manipulating its currency, and Japan intentionally wakened its own currency, the yen. Back in the U.S., watch out for hidden bus fees, and a Russian “Snob” hopes to get some attention from you and me. If our songs caught your attention, here is what we played:
- Blinking Lights (For You) — EelsBuy
- If The World — Guns N’ RosesBuy
- Bankrobber — The ClashBuy
- Dreamworld — Rilo KileyBuy
- Get Up — Amel LarreiuxBuy
