Google invests in offshore wind

John Moe Oct 12, 2010

You know Google, right? They’re that company that does wind farms and autonomous cars. Oh and yeah, they have a search engine too, I think. Seriously, what’s the deal, Google? Now they’ve invested in an offshore wind farm off the coast of New Jersey. The idea is to build a ton of wind mills and then connect them all with cables in order to help power the eastern seaboard.

The project faces some administrative and logistical challenges but environmental groups are jazzed about it.
