For Marketplace, Wednesday, November 3, 2010
On today’s show, we looked at the results of yesterday’s votes to try and think about the future. Host Bob Moon chatted with John Dimsdale about what we and the newly empowered Republicans have ahead of us, Nancy Marshall Genzer took a closer look at what the GOP has to do to repeal health care and financial reform, Stacey Vanek Smith covered how the change might affect the Fed, and commentator Robert Reich gave some tips to President Obama for the 2012 election. We also took a look at San Francisco’s new ban on toys in kids’ meals at restaurants — most notably McDonald’s Happy Meals. And Rob Schmitz took us into Mongolia to see how the country is beginning to thrive. Here are the songs we played:
- Cissy Strut – The MetersBuy
- Hotel California – Gipsy KingsBuy
- Modern Day American Girl – Patty MedinaBuy
- I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl – Nina SimoneBuy
- African Velvet – AirBuy
