You don’t have to go a cash register, you just give the person your card, they run it, they print out a receipt, it’s really handy. Now Apple is beginning to export the technology and Old Navy appears to be first in line with each store getting exactly one of these things. It’s a pilot program but it’s kind of an existential expansion for Apple as the consumer products company moves into the business machinery sphere.
