A lot of tech news came our way today, with Kai discussing password strategy with Lifehacker’s Kevin Purdy, in the wake of hackers infiltrating Gawker Media’s password database over the weekend, and a chat with G4’s Kevin Pereira on the top 10 gadgets this holiday season. We also heard a story on HD Voice, which broadcasts calls made through phones crystal clear, but which also may be too out-of-date at this point, with the popularity of texting.
President Obama will meet with 20 CEOs later this week, hopefully mending his relationship with big business. A report released today said fewer homeowners are “underwater,” meaning what they owe on their mortgage isn’t higher than the price of their houses, but that still isn’t great news on the housing front. And we also took a look at the growing urbanization of China. Here are the songs we played:
- Autumn Sweater (Kevin Shields remix) – Yo La Tengo
- Random Rules – Silver JewsBuy
- Drifter – Wild NothingBuy
- The Holograms – Fol ChenBuy
- Mao Reminisces About His Days In Southern China – Camper Van BeethovenBuy
