Tess Vigeland: If we walk up to you on the street some day and ask to see what’s in your wallet, don’t look at us like we’re crazy. Play along for a segment we call, What’s in Your Wallet?
Curtis Guy: My name is Curtis Guy. I’m in the middle of Union Square in the city of San Francisco. This wallet does have special meaning. It’s an old wallet, but I got this wallet about three years ago when I visited Tokyo. And I’ve been actually holding onto it ever since.
I buy far would rather carry a credit card or a debit card. I had a very unfortunate situation once of being robbed and I had a lot of cash on me. And of course, I took a total loss on the cash. So that’s why I prefer to carry either a debit card or a credit card.
In my wallet, I have two bus passes, I have a check deposit slip from couple days ago and I have a receipt for some coffee. Oh, and then a receipt from Church’s Chicken. I’m sort of a pack rat, I just take receipts and just put ’em in my wallet, just kind of keep them there. I don’t know why I do that, I just need to throw them away.
