Google gets social, just not with Facebook

John Moe Feb 17, 2011

I used to have this NBA video game a long time ago that had every player in the league on it except Michael Jordan. It wasn’t like it was missing, say, Cherokee Parks or Elliot “Socks” Perry, it was missing Michael Freaking Jordan. Which made it hardly an NBA game at all.

That’s kind of how I feel about Google doing social-based search results without the dominant player in all of social computing: Facebook. But they’re doing it anyway. With a bunch of Ron Harpers and Horace Grants.
