On today’s show, we heard from Bill Gates about his thoughts on why improving education is all about the teachers. Gates had appealed to state governors on the subject earlier today. President Obama also spoke to governors today, telling them that he would allow them to design alternative health care programs as long as they didn’t add to the deficit. Many states already have their own large deficits to deal with, like Arizona, which is facing the results of bad legislative decisions mixed with the housing bust and the recession.
Turmoil continues in Libya, while Western nations as putting on sanctions on Colonel Muammar Gaddafi’s money. Blackstone is acquiring 600 malls around the U.S. And New York Times’ David Leonhardt reminds businessowners to consider the working mom when hiring. Here are the songs we played:
