An explosion of combustible dust at a Foxconn manufacturing facility has resulted in a third death. The victim was a worker at the Foxconn plant in Chengdu and originally injured in a blast there that killed two other employees on Friday. Chengdu is located in the rural interior of China and is part of a push by Foxconn to move out of larger cities where wages are higher and into parts of the country where they don’t have to pay workers as much. According to some reports, the Chengdu facility was active and running even though it didn’t seem to be anywhere near completion and looked more like a construction site than a finished factory. Foxconn makes most of the iPhones and iPads in the world today.
