Sony apologizes about the hacks, holds up new toy as a distraction

John Moe Jun 7, 2011

Sony pulled into E3 with its head hung low after weeks of hacks, the latest probably happening as I type this. And there’s another one. And another. The company apologized and also introduced PlayStation Vita, its new hand held game player. It has a 5-inch display, touchpad on the back, and dual cameras to support augmented reality games. Vita, which should be out by Christmas and cost $250, is the heir to PlayStation Portable, which has sold very well since being introduced seven years ago. Also comes in a $300 3G enabled model.
