Groups that support AT&T – T-Mobile merger got cash from AT&T

John Moe Jun 10, 2011

Politico has a new story about how a lot of non-profit are supporting the enormous proposed merger even though they wouldn’t seem to have any reason to have an opinion about it at all. The NAACP, The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, and the National Education Association have all issued statement supporting the deal and they’ve all received recent contributions from AT&T. The organizations all deny that AT&T’s charitable support influenced their decisions in any way and AT&T says they support non-profits all the time.
