Nevada legislators passed a bill late Friday permitting driverless cars onto the road. Google has been developing a fleet of these cars (not sure why Google is involved but never mind, keep writing, John) and testing them around California. The bill gives the green light to Google’s Prius and Audi TT. But aren’t driverless cars more dangerous because of the whole no-driver thing? Au contraire, say Google and Nevada, they are safer because they pay more attention to what’s going on around them than a human can and they make better decisions. They’re like cab drivers but less homicidal!
