Pyeongchang, South Korea, was named the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympics today. Most host cities see the competition as an opportunity for an economic boost, but there are risks. President Obama took part in a Twitter Town Hall meeting today, further showing how social media has evolved. Rupert Murdoch’s News International is under scrutiny after it was discovered one of its tabloids has engaged in phone hacking. The EPA is readying new regulations. We heard about how Alabama’s tough new immigration law is being met by resistance from police there, and about the booming real estate on the Gaza strip.
