New York artist Kyle McDonald had this art project going where he installed software on computers in an Apple store that took photos of people looking at the computers, then uploaded those photos to a website. I use the past tense here because his home was raided and his computers seized by the Secret Service. McDonald hasn’t been arrested yet but the Secret Service says the potential charges could be under US code Title 18 /30 (Fraud and related activity in connection with computers), he could be locked up for up to 20 years. I looked at the pictures he got and they sure aren’t very interesting. High price to pay for boring art.
