Boy, late summer is just product death season. We told you, and really not long ago, about the HTC Status, a smart phone with a built in Facebook button. The idea is that you SIMPLY CANNOT BE BOTHERED to open an app when you want to get on Facebook, you need a button. The world apparently said, “No we don’t” and now TechCrunch is saying it may be dying. They cite anonymous sources as saying AT&T is about to drop the phone because no one is buying it. AT&T denies the rumors, saying that “The HTC Status is a great product and our plans for it to be part of our portfolio haven’t changed.”
