Google Docs went down yesterday. Not for long, but it happened and it’s not the first time. This left a lot of individual users in the lurch, of course, and also a lot of companies and governmental groups, who Google is fervently trying to bring into the cloud. This kind of points out the fundamental problem of this approach: you can’t fix clouds (try it now, reach waaaaaay up to the sky!). If something goes wrong on your computer, you can sometimes fix it yourself. When things get hinky on your work computer, you can call the guys who work for your company who run these things. Cloud trouble? Uhhh.
