This one coming from regional carrier Cellular South in protest of AT&T’s proposed takeover of T-Mobile. The suit was filed in DC court, the complaint saying, in part, “”The merger of AT&T and T-Mobile is anti-competitive, and will result in consumers facing higher prices, less innovation, fewer choices and reduced competition.” The complaint goes on to say that in a world of only two big carriers smaller carriers like Cellular South would be unable to obtain the latest devices for customers and that roaming prices would be higher.
Not that this case will hinge on Cellular South’s opinion but the suits are really starting to pile up between this, Sprint, and the federal government.
