For Marketplace Morning Report, Tues., Sept. 27, 2011
The prime minister of Greece, George Papandeou, visited Germany today to appeal to Chancellor Angela Merkel, and all the German people, that his country deserved the second bailout planned to help it avoid default. Many Germans, however, are against footing the bill. New York City will unveil cell phone service at selected subway stops, a fact that has many commuters upset as it will inadvertently extend their workday. And a report out today says Freddie Mac went way too easy on Bank of America in this past summer’s settlement.
