Word has come out that Apple is holding an event in New York later this month. This news caused an immediate run of frantic speculation that the iPad 3 would be announced or Apple’s smart TV would finally get announced. But it looks like there won’t be anything in the way of products being showed off, just something to do with publishing and books and that it will have more to do with publishers than regular people. Sounds like a certain Cupertino company is feeling some pressure to respond to the rise of Kindle and Kindle Fire.
UNLESS this is all a swerve and Apple ends up debuting new iPads and iPhones and TVs and iMicrowaves and iCars and other junk. But maybe its a double swerve and they won’t announce anything at all. We never have these discussions about Panasonic.
