The Technology, Entertainment, Design conference kicks off today in Long Beach, Calif. Expect a slew of new videos to be landing on Facebook pages and blogs from the event, better known as TED. If you can’t afford to part with the $7500 ticket price, you can virtually attend for $2500 ($995 if you’re buying a package for a school). Still not convinced it’s worth it? Then, while you’re waiting for this year’s conference to be posted online, sit back and browse through the catalog of past speakers for free.
Jessica Vascellaro of the Wall Street Journal is there for the first time. Live vicariously through her with bated breath for the definitely non-technological organ virtuosity of Cameron Carpenter. Seriously, check out his feet in those pointy shoes.
