The Woz started waiting in line for his new iPad yesterday afternoon, but he could have just gone to Walmart at midnight.
Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak set up his camping chair yesterday afternoon in front of the Westfield Mall Apple Store, in Century City, Calif. As usual, he wanted to be the first one to purchase the new iPad when it went on sale at 8:00 a.m. this morning. Like we told you yesterday, you don’t have to be the guy with the tent and a week’s worth of Cheetos rations to be one of the first, but I’m guessing the Woz enjoys the camaraderie of the line.
But Steve, you could have actually gotten the new iPad even earlier than 8:00 a.m. The closest 24-hour Walmart, just a 22-mile drive from the mall, in fact, began selling the new iPad at a minute past midnight. Good Lord, Steve! Do you realize how much time you have wasted?!? You could have been working on some great new super computer or planning an outdoor music festival.
