Apple had its hands full trying to contain the Flashback virus last week. At last count, it had infected over 600,000 computers. Now there are reports of a new bug wiggling its way into Apple computers. This one is called Sabpab. So far there are two means of infection: 1. Sabpab climbs in through and exploits java script vulnerability (just like Flashback), and 2. it infects computers through Word documents.
If infected, your computer will give hackers access to your files and let them control your computer. Please people, don’t click on a document that you weren’t expecting or is from someone you don’t know. Apparently the infected documents look like they have something to do with Tibet.
According to Naked Security: “The Sabpab Trojan is not believed to be anything like as widespread as Flashback, but still underlines the importance of protecting Macs against malware with an up-to-date anti-virus program and security updates.”
