We talked about Hulu’s presence at the upfronts last week – that’s where entertainment types pitch their newest shows to advertisers, hoping to score big bucks in backing. The Wall Street Journal reports that Yahoo! is up-fronting as well (no word, however, if it brought along its exclamation point to every meeting). Yahoo is touting some big-named stars, like Tom Hanks and Katie Couric, as part of its roster. Hanks is part of a sci-fi cartoon, previously reported on, called “Electric City.”
The big news was Katie Couric’s new show, “Katie’s Take,” where she will be “talking about news and social trends, with a particular focus on nutrition, parenting and health.”
I’m sure Katie’s take will be much more informative than “Sue’s Corner,” but with a similar sounding name, I can’t help but lump the two together. I guess that’s just how I “C” it.
