Happy Father’s Day, Part I
Rodney Evans: A really great Father’s Day… You know when my daughter caught her first fish in 2001. And I didn’t think it was that big of a deal because I grew up fishing. But the amount of happiness that went through her smile for the next few weeks and years about that one incident sort of let me know that they, of course, value things that we don’t necessarily see them valuing.
Nick Dugan: They usually make my favorite meal, which is bratwurst and french fries and coleslaw and watermelon. You know, with like chocolate brownies and ice cream for dessert. I’m a pretty happy guy when that happens.
That was Rodney Evans from Winchester, Va. and Nick Dugan from Cincinnati, Ohio on what they’re looking forward to this Father’s Day. Both came to us from the Wealth and Poverty desk’s Middle Class Photo Project. You can upload your own photos for our project here.
