Unemployment falls to 7.7%, 146,000 jobs added

The number of the day is 146,000. That’s how many jobs were added last month according the Bureau of Labor Statistics November jobs report. The unemployment rate fell to a four year low of 7.7 percent.

Julia Coronado, chief economist with the investment bank BNP Paribas, shares her reaction to the latest numbers, how Hurricane Sandy did or did not factor in, and what the report might mean for the ongoing fiscal cliff negotiations.
