Did Google just ban the most promising feature of Google Glass?

In response to privacy concerns, Google has announced it will not allow facial recognition apps for Google Glass in its app store.

“Google has gone ahead and banned the most promising feature of Google Glass,” says CNET’s Molly Wood. “Developers feel like they’ve been hamstrung.”

In a vague statement, the company said they would ban facial recognition on Glass until privacy guidelines have been enacted.
