Microsoft considers reorganization, grapples with death of PC
Microsoft may be on the verge of a massive restructuring. The company has had an interesting year — neither Windows 8 nor the company’s new Surface tablet have been home runs.
Kara Swisher, c0-executive editor at AllThingsD, says Microsoft is still grappling with the death of the personal computer.
“PC’s are over, the latest statistics are all showing nobody is buying them,” Swisher says. “Microsoft’s whole business is around the PC with their Windows franchise… They really have to change.”
