Caffeine withdrawal is officially a mental health disorder
This final note today, which I read on my phone — I kid you not — as I was on my way back to the office with a fresh cup of coffee.
I guess this has been out there for a while and I just missed it, but the new edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual — kind of the bible for mental health disorders — now lists caffeine withdrawal.
To quote the Wall Street Journal, “things become mental disorders when they impair a person’s ability to function in daily life.”
Which is kinda true for me and not getting my coffee.
Which is also kinda sad.
