Rolling Stone’s Boston bomber cover prompts backlash
Depending on your point of view, the cover of the new edition of Rolling Stone magazine is either provocative or outrageous.
A self-taken photo the Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev appears on cover of the August 1 issue.
The drugstore chains CVS and Walgreens said they’re not going to carry the issue.
Boston Mayor Tom Menino said in a letter to the magazine, “The survivors of the Boston attacks deserve Rolling Stone cover stories, although I no longer feel that Rolling Stone deserves them.”
