Over the past few weeks, we’ve been asking you to send us stories about your first job.
Today, the story of a first job that paid off in more ways than one. Stephanie Donoghue is a Marketplace listener in Altamonte Springs, Fla. Her first job was at Krystal Burger restaurant.
“I didn’t have a car, so I had to find the closest place that I could walk to; that was pretty much my only option,” she said. “I learned how to work with others and talk to the public, how to treat customers and things like that. When you’re just a young high schooler, you don’t really think about that kind of thing.”
