The $160 billion “inversion” has the smaller company (Allergan, PLC) technically buying the much larger Pfizer, which allows the latter to take advantage of lower tax rates in Ireland.

That’s as little as you’ll pay for the services of a Boston-area startup named Freebird. Just in time for holiday travel, the company promises to re-book cancelled or delayed flights based on your specific preferences of time and destination. Freebird banks on the idea that most fliers become frustrated when airlines automatically re-book them on routes that don’t necessarily account for when they need to arrive, or if they have connecting flights. Though, it’s not exactly like travel insurance. As Bloomberg writes, you pay the company’s fee, plus you shoulder the cost of the new ticket.
