The play “Dry Powder” focuses on how financial firms shape the American Economy. John Krasinski and Claire Danes star as two employees at a private equity firm in the middle of a public relations crisis and an investment deal for an American-made luggage company.  The director is Thomas Kail, who also directed “Hamilton.”

Marketplace host Kai Ryssdal talks with playwright Sarah Burgess about her inspiration for the play, how the Public Theater picked it up, and what it was like working with the team that brought “Hamilton” to the stage.
