Back to the beginning of the program: gun violence…

In which I repeat myself from our broadcast of Dec. 14 2012, the day of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary.

I noted that day in our search for some way to quantify what had happened, that there were then more places to buy a firearm in this country than there were Starbucks on the whole planet.

We looked up the latest numbers this afternoon. It’s still true.
