What advice do you wish someone had given you before you started this career?

It's OK if you don't want to be a reporter — there are a lot of different jobs behind the scenes that make the newsroom run.

In your next life, what would your career be?

Event planner. I love planning parties, and I spend way too much time watching wedding videos on YouTube.

Fill in the blank: Money can’t buy you happiness, but it can buy you ______.

… out of student debt.

What’s your most memorable Marketplace moment?

When LeVar Burton came to the studio for an interview, I totally freaked out. I word-vomited something about “Reading Rainbow” and how much he means to my mom as a teacher. He was so kind and told me to make sure I thank my mom for her work.
